Welcome to Ruth Olson Ministries, publisher of Gentle Doves, a Christian home-spun magazine packed full of challenging topics. The name of the magazine comes from Matthew 10:16 where the Lord wants us to be "wise as serpents and gentle as doves" in all areas of our lives.
Gentle Doves' purpose is the touch the hearts of Christians and non-believers alike by experiencing the Body of Christ and what they deem important in their lives. It encourages those to speak out along with reading what others are doing for the Lord, expressing their ideas and at the same time, glean from counter-parts, all with a natural, God-given flow of talent and giftings.
Readers are encouraged to send in favorite recipes, household hints, "Mommy Saver" ideas, along with their own stories covered in pages entitled, "In Their Own Words". Besides all of this, there is a pro-life column, a teaching on a Christian subject and the "Trumpet Blast" column which features up-to-date quick facts on things of interest nationally and internationally. And there are added features also, such as information on new ministries, a "Doves on Line" page directing the reader to interesting websites, and fellow Christians send in their books they have written to be reviewed, and last but not least, an on-going Bible Study.
What's nice about the magazine is its size. You can take it with you in your purse or tuck it away in a book and when you have the time throughout the day, there it is for you to read.

the behind the scene activities. She is not only the treasurer, but also keeps everyone current on the mailing list, and is a big help to me by proof reading each issue of Gentle Doves. Here she is preparing the bi-monthly issues for mailing. The Lord intended us both to walk under His banner of love reaching out to others. She helps when I speak and minister by praying for me as well as praying with me. My second book, Keep on Walking, is dedicated to her.
We invite you to be a part of the growing mailing list. The magazine is mailed bi-monthly. We ask for a yearly donation of any size. Your gift keeps you current on the mailing through the current year dated on your check/money order until December 31. You are also encouraged to send us names of anyone you know who would be interested in being on the mailing also. We will carry them on your gift for the current year. Your gift is tax deductible. There is also a "free" list of those readers who are in full ministry for the Lord Jesus.
