Years ago, I found myself going through something that needed to be talked over with another woman.  The turmoil in my heart involved those around me, so I searched and prayed for a person outside my surroundings who could see through the circumstances and give me some godly answers.

   I decided to write a nationally known woman in ministry, but after a long wait no response came.  I didn't hold that against her necessarily, because I realized that she was quite busy in her ministry.  However, I did remember commenting in prayer to God that if I ever had a ministry to women, I would see to it that every letter sent me would receive a response. 

   To my surprise, the Lord answered in a small, still voice zeroing in on that very statement of mine.  "Really?"  He seemed to whisper.  "We'll see."

   I don't know how soon it was after that when God moved me into this ministry of helping the Christian woman find her full potential in the Lord Jesus Christ.  But, one thing I do know, I find answering letters comes easily for me, and the list is short of those letters and emails I haven't responded to--all because of the grace of the Lord Jesus.

   My prayer warrior and partner in this ministry, is my dear friend, Hannelore MacKinney.  She also has the "gift of helps", and as a result serves as my secretary/treasurer for the ministry.  Her service, which consists of many working hours, is the backbone of Ruth Olson Ministries, and warrants recognition.  You'll read more of what she does by clicking "About Gentle Doves".
