The Cross of Christ -sent in by Linda M. Burks, River Falls, WI
His love knows no beginnings, His love knows no bounds.
His love flows like a river to all those around.
So call upon HIm while He is near, to bring us peace within.
Walk in humbleness, grace and mercy, to win the war within.
So let your light so shine before men so they will see Jesus within.

"In Their Own Words".
PRAY AMERICA -Lydia Chorpening, Shell Lake, WI
Your hands, once strong, by instilled faith, are dangling at your sides.
The firm foundation where once your stood, has now become a slip'ry slide.
Who rules your city streets today, and runs the hallways of your schools?
Where's your respect for aging folks,--The unborn babe, or Golden Rule?
You're uninformed--ignorant by choice, the media's news are blatant lies,
You, who were built on Godly truth, have veered to arrogance and pride.
Awake America, and pray, awake to truth and dignity.
Turn to the faith which once you knew, cry for a change in your decree.
Oh, Country once where brave and strong, were keepers of your door.
Turn back to God--away from sin, fall on your face and pray once more.
Will you not turn to God once more, with humble, contrite soul?
Perhaps God's mercy will turn again, and cleanse our land and make us whole.

Amazing Grace
by Natalie J. Thomas
He is not here, but is risen. (Luke 24:6)
I can imagine their great surprise
When they looked inside the tomb,
Thinking there they'd find Him lying
And their hearts were filled with gloom.
I can almost see the angel
And hear him saying: "HE'S NOT DEAD. . .
Do not bother looking here. . .
FOR HIS IS RISEN, LIKE HE SAID."
Christ arose, He did not linger
Christ arose and went His way;
Our Savior's work at last was over,
Man was free as of that day.
There's no reason now for bondage,
For there is a way we can be free,
Jesus broke the cords of sin
When He died at Calvary.
Christ our Lord was Resurrected,
Christ our Lord has paid the price,
God's love for man was then revealed,
God's only Son. . .our sacrifice.
One day we were also buried,
Once in sin we too were dead,
But Jesus resurrected us,
When He died in our own stead.
And just like He one day rose,
We all can arise too,
With our sins completely forgiven,
And in Christ have life anew.
"Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many. . ." Hebrews 9:28
"By one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified." Hebrews 10:14
"I am He that liveth, and was dead: and, behold, I am alive forevermore." Amen
Revelation 1:18
Easter Blessings
by Jean Kalmes, Rollingstone, MN.
As Easter comes around each year,
We think of all that we hold dear.
We think of Jesus, and His mother Mary,
And Joseph, obedient, though they may be weary.
We think of God, Our dear Father above,
Who give us Jesus, a gift of joy and love.
A love so great, beyond all we know,
And retribution for everyone here below.

You Are The Apple of His Eye
by Judy Miron of Hugo, MN.
1. Deuteronomy 32:10
"He kept him as the apple of His eye."
2. He was bruised. Isaiah 53:4
"He was bruised for our iniquities. . .by his stripes we are healed."
3. He was crushed. Isaiah 53:4 "Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows. Yet
we esteemed him stricken by God and afflicted."
4. His shed blood cleanses us. Revelation 7:14. "These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
5. He is tenderhearted (soft). Ephesians 4:32. "And be kind to one another and tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ Jesus forgave you."
6. He is glorified Matthew 28:8. ". . .He is not here, for he is risen, as he said."
May these apples (as shown on Judy's card sent to me), remind you that you are the apple of His eye. (1) Some of them are bruised. (2) Just as Jesus was. Some of them are red, like His shed blood. (4) All of them are soft, tenderhearted, as Jesus was. When you crushed them (3) remember Jesus was crushed for us. After the oven, the apples are sweet, edible, and good in a pie, as Jesus was when He came from the tomb glorified. (6).
